Karim Kharbouch, better known as French Montana, was born in Rabat and grew up in Casablanca. He has moved to the Bronx in the United States at the age of 13, and quickly became acquainted with hip-hop culture and collaborated with other rappers such as Drake, Rick Ross and Lil Wayne. Released in 2012, his first single, Pop That, was certified platinum. His album Excuse My French brought together Nicki Minaj, Snoop Dogg, Scarface and Ne-Yo.
